What forms of marketing do you prefer?

I am currently conducting research to determine how to market my Business. Do you prefer companies to market online(facebook, twitter, other websites); with television ads, newspaper ads, billboards or by email? Also, what other forms of marketing do you think would reach a large market of people without invading privacy?
